PGI TEAM INSPECTS SATELLITE CENTRE SITE IN FEROZEPUR
A team of the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, inspected the new proposed site of its 100-bed satellite centre to be set up in Ferozepur on Wednesday. Led by Ashok Gupta and Sanjay Jain, the five-member team inspected the site at Malwal village on the Ferozepur-Moga road and held discussions with deputy commissioner Ramvir. “They (team) have given formal nod to the site and will submit a report to the PGI director who will take the final call,” said a local official. “PGI authorities want to develop Bathinda-Faridkot-Ferozepur as a medical cluster so that patients, including those suffering from cancer, of Malwa belt can be taken care of,” said the official.
