Power transmission improving: ministry

CHANDIGARH: Punjab power minister Rana Gurjit Singh on Tuesday held a meeting with officials of the department of power, and the two corporations to review the generation and transmission status of the state under current smoggy conditions. A spokesman said thick deposit caused by smog on insulating discs of 400 KV transmission lines resulted in repeated tripping.
