PILGRIM LIMIT AT VAISHNO DEVI SHRINE
It is a welcome step taken by the National Green Tribunal to cap the limit of pilgrims visiting Mata Vaishno Devi shrine at 50,000 per day. Safety and security of visitors will now increase as there is always an unmanageable rush at the shrine. The other step to not allow horses and mules on the new path, to be opened from November 24, will help in a big way in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene on the way to the shrine. It will help in avoiding stampede like conditions in the future due to decline in the number of visitors.
