SEX RACKET BUSTED IN GURGAON, 16 ARRESTED

A prostituti­on racket operating out of a guest house in Sector 39 was busted by police on Sunday evening. At least 16 persons, including 12 women, were arrested by the police and booked under Immoral Traffickin­g Act and a case was registered against the accused at Sadar police station.

The accused were produced in the court on Monday, and sent to jail.

The police, acting on a tip off that a sex-racket was operated at Ganga Villa guest house, a team from Sadar police station was constitute­d, which conducted the raid led by Inspector Vijay Kumar, SHO, Sadar police station.

Two male constables were sent as decoy customers to the guest house with marked ₹2,000 notes, and they struck a deal with the manager.

Once the two decoys were inside the rooms, and the girls started making ‘objectiona­ble’ overtures, they called the team waiting outside the guest house.

“The team immediatel­y raided inside the two rooms and caught the girls in objectiona­ble position. Thereafter, other rooms of the guest house were raided in which nine girls were caught under the Immoral Traffickin­g Act,” said Ravinder Kumar, PRO, Gurgaon police.

Four men were also arrested in the raid aged between 25 and 35 years. The age of women is between 26 and 30 years and some of them are married, the police said.
