: The family of Yasha Saini, whose husband Hitesh Saini, 32, died after falling from the 10th floor apartment on Sohna Road under mysterious circumstances on January 1, claim that they were being framed in the murder case over to “property dispute”.

They have also submitted a counter complaint to the police, alleging that victim’s sister had cooked up allegations to ensure that they were in the dock for Saini’s murder.

The sister has, however, denied the allegations.

Hitesh Saini, a businessman, allegedly fell from the 10th floor balcony of his rented flat in Uniworld Garden on Sohna Road around 1.30 am on January 1, the police said.

The police, which was initially treating the matter as suicide, later booked his wife Yasha Saini, sister-in-law Esha Sharma, father-in-law Krishan Sharma and mother-in-law Krishna Sharma for murder on the complaint of Hitesh’s sister, Vani Chowdhary.

“The allegations have been cooked up to implicate our family as Vani and her husband want to grab the property. There is a large plot in Sainik farm, an office in South extension and plot in Ambala which his sister has been trying to grab since 2012. They were pressuring Hitesh because of which, under stress, he started drinking, became violent and depressed,” alleged Krishan Sharma.

He claimed that he had married off his daughter to Hitesh on the latter’s mother’s request in 2010. “The marriage had to be organised in a hurry since Hitesh’s mother, Raksha Saini, had cancer. After her death, Vani managed to control the entire company. She also tried to grab the business which led to fight between brother and sister,” alleged Sharma.

Hitesh’s sister Vani Chowdhary has refuted the allegations.
