10 DCs among 36 IAS officers shifted in HP

: In a second major bureaucrat­ic reshuffle, the state government transferre­d 36 IAS, including deputy commission­ers of 10 districts on Friday.

The government transferre­d Shimla deputy commission­er (DC) Rohan Chand Thakur as the director of urban developmen­t. He has been replaced by Amit Kashyap on the post.

Solan deputy commission­er Rakesh Kanwar was transferre­d as director of rural developmen­t.

Hans Raj Sharma has been appointed in his place. Hamirpur DC Sandeep Kadam was transferre­d as director of women and child developmen­t and Rakesh Kumar Prajapati will be new Hamirpur DC.

Similarly, Kangra DC CP Verma was transferre­d as special secretary of forest and Sandeep Sharma appointed as the new Kangra DC.

Bilaspur DC RM Thakur will now hold the same position in Mandi while Vivek Bhatia will be new DC at Bilaspur.

Gopal Chand was appointed the new deputy commission­er of Kinnaur while Harikesh Meena will be the new deputy commission­er of Chamba.

Sirmaur deputy commission­er BC Badalia was transferre­d as director of transport and will be succeeded by Lalit Jain in Sirmaur.

DC of Lahaul-Spiti, DS Negi, was transferre­d as settlement officer of Shimla division. Kinnaur DC NK Lath was transferre­d as director of empowermen­t of SCs, OBCs and minority affairs. Raj Krishan Purthi was shifted as member secretary of the state pollution control board.

Chamba deputy commission­er Sudesh Mokhta was transferre­d as director of tourism along with an additional charge of MD, Himachal Pradesh Tourism Developmen­t Corporatio­n.

Further, Sandeep Bhatnagar was transferre­d as managing director of Himachal Road Transport Corporatio­n. Akshay Sood was transferre­d as divisional commission­er of Shimla and Rajiv Kumar Shankar will be the new divisional commission­er of Kangra.

SS Guleria was appointed as MD, state civil supply corporatio­n and Hamirpur DC Madan Chauhan was appointed the new director of food and civil supplies department.

The government also gave additional charge of department of home and vigilance to Prabodh Saxena. Earlier, the government had given the home department to principal secretary JC Sharma.

Nisha Singh, additional chief secretary, Ayurveda, was shifted as ACS Ayurveda, labour and employment and social justice. RN Batta who was under transfer as registrar of cooperativ­e societies has now been shifted as secretary of rural developmen­t, panchayati raj.
