Sex racket being operated in guise of spa busted, 6 women arrested

A sex racket operating in the garb of a health spa was busted by the Gurgaon police on Monday evening. It was being run from a commercial complex at Sector 5 crossing, the police said.

Six women and two men, including the manager of the Spa, were arrested under various sections of the Immoral Traffickin­g Act. A case was registered at Sector 5 police station against the accused.

Acting on a tip-off from an informer that a sex racket was being operated from 3A Spa at CMS complex at Sector 5 crossing, a police team was constitute­d and it sent a decoy customer to catch the accused red-handed.

Police said the decoy customer was asked to strike a deal and hand over a ₹2,000 note to spa’s manager and signal the police team after the transactio­n.

When the police team reached the spa, it found the owner and manager at the reception and on frisking him, the investigat­ors found the numbered ₹2,000 note from his person. The team, thereafter, questioned the manager and checked other rooms during which it found a man from Rajasthan with a woman.

They were asked to come out of the room and arrested later, the police said. On checking the remaining rooms, the police arrested four other girls, who were waiting for clients, under various sections of Immoral Traffickin­g Act.
