MINOR SISTERS GANGRAPED IN PANIPAT

Accused allegedly abducted the victims from near their house in a car

PANIPAT: Police have booked three youths for allegedly kidnapping and raping two minor sisters on Monday.

The victims along with their families approached the police on Tuesday alleging that Sonu Kumar, Ravi Kumar and Sonu kidnapped them in a car from near their house and raped them.

The youths dropped the girls, aged 16 and 17 years, a few hours later, said the complainan­ts, who later narrated the incident to their families.

“We have received a complaint in this regard. The accused, who are in their early twenties have been booked under Sections 365 and 376-D of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 4 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act,” Samalkha deputy superinten­dent of police (DSP) Naresh Kumar said.

He said the girls have been sent for medical examinatio­n and the accused will be produced in the court seeking their further interrogat­ion.

As why the family did not inform the police soon after the incident on Monday, the Samalkha deputy superinten­dent of police said more will be found during the investigat­ion.

CLASS 9 STUDENT RAPED IN TOHANA, 1 HELD

HISAR : A youth was arrested for allegedly raping a Class 9 girl at Tohana town of Fatehabad district. The accused has been identified as Krishan Kumar, a resident of Tohana, who is known to the victim.

In his complaint, the victim's father, a labourer, alleged that the accused called his daughter for some work and raped her when was away for work.

The victim later narrated the incident to her father, who later took her to the women police station. A case was registered

against the youth under Section 375 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Women police station SHO) Manju Rani said, "We registered a case against the accused and arrested him from his house.”
