‘WILL STOP EVERY BIKE GOING TO JIND RALLY’

-

: The Sirsa unit of the All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) said on February 15 they will stop all motorcycles going to Jind where Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah will hold a rally.

Addressing a press conference, AIJASS Sirsa unit president Vinod Dhaka said members of the Jat community are ready to take their tractor-trailers from Sirsa to block the road near Hisar district’s Barwala town so that not a single motorcycle will be allowed to reach the BJP national president’s rally.

“The motorcycle rally will start from the Ding area. After a meeting with Jat leaders of the district, we have decided to block the road in Barwala. The common man will not be disturbed and they will be allowed to go wherever they want to,” Dhaka said.

"We are not going to disturb the Jind rally but we want to convey our concerns on reservation and other issues to the BJP president," Rambhagat Malik, AIJASS state spokesperson said.

He said the state government has forgotten an agreement between the samiti and the government signed on March 19, 2017, in the presence of Union minister Birender Singh.

"Jat leaders from Hisar, Sirsa and Fatehabad have assured that people will take 3,500 tractor-trailers from these districts to Jind," Rambhagat Malik said.
