Under Modi, federalism has been strengthened, says Capt Abhimanyu
CAMBRIDGE(US): Haryana finance minister Captain Abhimanyu has said that federalism had been strengthened under the Narendra Modi government.
“The implementation of the GST and the smooth functioning of the GST Council is the best example of co-operative federalism in a highly complicated environment,” he said, during an annual India Conference organised by the prestigious Harvard University on Sunday.
“This is a great era of cooperative and competitive federalism,” Abhimanyu added.
Pitching Haryana as the destination for investors, he said the state government was trying to reduce the cost of doing business in the state.
“We evaluate each investment proposal. The idea is to reduce the cost of doing business; even as efforts are always on to improve the ‘Ease of Doing Business’,” the minister added.
