Modi’s speech was more of Congress-bashing than a review of his government’s performance. The PM must have forgotten that he was addressing Parliament and not an election rally. There was no mention of the project to clean the River Ganga. No data is available with the government of number of ‘Jan-Dhan’ accounts with banks and whether any amount has been credited in these accounts in the last four years. What efforts have been made to bring back black money stashed in foreign accounts? Instead of making Parliament aware of these projects, the PM harped on the issue of partition and his vision of what would have happened, had Sardar Patel had been the first PM of our country.
