JAT PROTESTERS AND SHAH RALLY

It is shameful that the Haryana government, which failed to maintain law and order and protect public and private property during the violent Jat quota stir, is now working overtime to withdraw 85 FIRs against 869 Jat protesters. This gesture is meant to ensure that Jats do not disrupt the proposed motorcycle rally of BJP president Amit Shah in Jind on February 15. The government is clearly prioritising politics over the law of the land. Let us hope that the court does not grant its consent to the public prosecutor to withdraw these cases. This is political misuse of Section 321 of the CrPC.
