HP CM slams Cong, says funds for state come from Delhi
Had the Union govt not provided a loan of ₹500 crore lately, coffers of the state govt would have been empty, says Thakur
Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday hit out at the Congress leaders for deploring his visits to New Delhi.
“Congress leaders have started questioning my visits to Delhi, I want to make them clear that I would visit Delhi time and again to get more funds for state’s development,” the CM said while addressing a meeting in Una district’s Bangana.
Giving credit to the Union government for sanctioning ₹500 crore loans for paying salaries to employees, chief minister Thakur said, “Had the Union government not provided a loan of ₹500 crore lately, coffers of the state government would have been empty without a penny to give to employees. It was the Congress government which appointed number of chief parliamentary secretaries, chairmen and vice-chairmen of various boards and corporations who had spent lavishly and thus emptying the state coffers.”
The CM laid foundation stone of a link road connecting Harijan Basti in Barnoh to Government Senior Secondary School in Dangoli.
He also laid foundation stones of improvement and augmentation of the lift water supply scheme (LWSS) Momanyaar at Jogi Panga.
The scheme that will cost ₹1.73 crore, will also benefit a population of around 3,500 of 10 villages in the area.
