Centre trying to destabilise govt, LG behaving like BJP agent: AAP

-

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday alleged that Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal was working as a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) agent by assisting attempts to destabilise the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi. The party also questioned the veracity of medico-legal case (MLC) report of chief secretary Anshu Prakash.

“The Delhi police arrested our MLAs only on the compliant of the chief secretary without any evidence. We have a video footage of the attack on Imran Hussain and Ashish Khetan in Delhi secretariat, yet there is no action. The L-G is clearly acting as an agent of the BJP and is not abiding by the Constitution,” party leader, Ashutosh told newsmen at party headquarters.

“The events unfolding in the last four days are clearly part of an attempt to destabilise the Delhi government. And the L-G, who was an RSS man and member of Vivekananda Foundation, is a part of it all,” he said.

Delhi chief secretary Anshu Prakash had on Tuesday alleged that he was beaten up by AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and others during a meeting at CM Arvind Kejriwal’s residence. Police have so far arrested Khan and another MLA Prakash Jarwal in the case. After Anshu Prakash’s allegations, AAP released a video in which its minister Imran Hussain and chairman of Delhi Dialogue Commission Ashish Khetan were purportedly heckled. The party have identified a group officials in the video for the alleged attack on AAP leaders. The officials identified includes Amit Khatri from general administration department, Ravinder Parmar of urban development department, Sandeep Suhaag, Saini and Sonu.

Questioning the credibility of chief secretary’s MLC report, Ashutosh said, “The report clearly says that the assault on the chief secretary took place after midnight. The CCTV footage, however, shows chief secretary walking out of the chief minister’s residence at 11:30 pm. There is a clear discrepancy,” asked Ashutosh. HTC
