LEARN FROM YOUR PAST BUT DON’T ALLOW IT TO RULE YOUR PRESENT AND FUTURE

- Vishakha Goel

Very often, we tend to get stuck in our past. Old memories, beautiful or sore, keep coming back to us. Happy or sad, refreshing or heart-breaking, memories always fill our eyes with tears - of sorrow or joy. While the past might seem to be holding us tight, it is best to allow ourselves to get free from it.

There is a reason why the clock always moves in a particular direction; time always goes ahead and so should we. As you look back, there should be nothing more than lessons learned and experiences gathered. Whatever happened, happened for a reason. But, you alone are responsible for deciding whether or not to allowit cast a shadow on your present or your future. You will always be known by what you are today and your vision for the future.

At times, it might get difficult to forget and let go of the past. In such cases, you should always remember that you are the only one to get affected by the decisions you make today. So, instead of holding back, start gearing up for the future. What’s done is done; it constitutes merely a chapter of your life.

Hold the pen, take control and write the story of the book named “Your Life”.
