State to have media centres in all districts: Kavita Jain
CHANDIGARH: Haryana information, public relations and languages minister Kavita Jain on Wednesday launched the website — www.prharyana.gov.in — of the department and said that media centres would be set up in all districts of the state, for which ₹0 lakh each had been allocated.
The minister presided over the meeting of district information and public relations officers at Panchkula, a government spokesperson said.
The newly launched website of the department has been created with a new technique and it would have all information besides working of the department.
The website would be updated from time to time, to provide various kinds of information to people, she said.
Rajesh Khullar, principal secretary (PR department), said the officers of the department should ensure that the information pertaining to welfare schemes and policies of the state government reaches the public because such steps had never been taken by the previous governments.
Speaking on the occasion, director, public relations, Sameer Pal Srow said such meetings would now be organised every month to assess the works undertaken by the state government and the department.
