INLD is the B-team of BJP: Surjewala

SAYS THAT THE PARTIES OPPOSE EACH OTHER DURING THE DAY AND BECOME FRIENDS BY EVENING; CONG COMMUNICATIONS INCHARGE ALSO LASHED OUT AT KHATTAR, MODI AND UNION STEEL MINISTER FOR LACK OF DEVELOPMENT

CHANDIGARH: Former Haryana minister and All India Congress Committee communications in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala on Sunday said that Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) is the B team of the ruling BJP in Haryana.

Addressing a public meeting ‘Bangar Hunkar’ Rally in Jind where the INLD and the BJP won all the assembly seats in 2014, Surjewala said Jind indeed was instrumental in deciding the formation of governments.

He lashed out at the BJP government, chief minister Manohar Lall Khattar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union steel minister Birender Singh for “neglecting” the land of Bangar in development.

Surjewala targeted Birender Singh, a former Congressman who is now a BJP MP in Rajya Sabha, for completely neglecting the development of Uchana Kalan, a constituency represented by his wife Prem Lata in the assembly. He alleged that against the available road budget of ₹95,000 crore, the government has spent nothing in Uchana segment. “If the steel minister(Birender) would have brought at least a steel industry in this area, things would have been changed at least up to some extent,” he added.

Calling INLD the B team of BJP, Surjewala said they oppose each other during the day and become each other’s friends by the evening.

Surjewala said it is the BJP government which levied tax on agriculture for the first time in the history of independent India.
