Don’t insult people’s achievements over past 70 years: Rahul
BENGALURU: Kicking off the third leg of his Karnataka Janashirvada Yatra in Padubidre in Udupi district, about 400km from here, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday asked PM Narendra Modi to not disrespect the achievements of the country’s citizens over the past 70 years. Gandhi is on a two-day campaign tour of the coastal districts of the state bound for polls in May. Keeping up with his attack on Modi, Gandhi said a single person could not take the country forward. “This country has progressed because of its farmers, youth and women who have worked hard over 70 years,” he said. He said if there were telecom and IT revolutions in the country, this was due to the toil of the youth of Karnataka, which Modi had no right to disrespect.
