A government statement said topper Anudeep belongs to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category and qualified the exam with anthropology as an optional subject.

“Technically this was my second attempt but I consider it as my first only because I could not prepare at all last time. I’m glad that I cleared it this time or next year would have been my last attempt due to the age limit,” said Anu Kumari, 31, mother of a fouryear-old boy.
Following Anudeep and Anu Kumari in the list are Sachin Gupta, Atul Prakash, Pratham Kaushik, Koya Sree Harsha, Ayush Sinha, Anubhav Singh, Saumya Sharma and Abhishek Surana, it added.
