After drawing Switzerlan­d 1-1 in their opener, Brazil needed to win to avoid depending on other results in the final round of Pool matches. Costa Rica held them from scoring till the end of 90 minutes. However, Philippe Coutinho scored in the first minute of stoppage time, pushing the ball through the legs of goalkeeper Keylor Navas. Neymar followed six minutes later, volleying the ball in.

Harry Kane (England vs Tunisia)

England, who had not won their opening game at any major tournament since their victory over Paraguay in 2006 World Cup, looked like they’d have settle with a 1-1 draw. However, Harry Kane headed the ball into the net in the first minute of injury time. The ball had been won by Harry Maguire in the air off a corner. He passed it to Kane who headed it in.

With the African team down and out, trailing 1-5 after regulation time, Wahbi Khazri netted a goal in the 93rd minute.
