Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday alleged that opposition parties Indian National Lok Dal and the Congress have not risen above their politics of corruption, nepotism and feudalism.

Addressing a rally in Uklana mandi in Hisar on the day two of his three-day ‘connect-to-people; campaign, Khattar said the BJP is the only party where any worker could become chief minister or even prime minister.

He exhorted the party workers to apprise people about the government initiatives and policies. Union minister of steel Birender Singh and Haryana BJP president Subhash Barala also addressed the rally.

Earlier in the day, the chief minister dedicated several development projects in Narwana in Jind district.

Meeting people and party workers at several places in Jind to have feedback of the functioning of his government, Khattar said that development of each assembly constituency was government’s priority.

At Narwana, the chief minister also launched a state-level tree plantation drive for students of Class 6 to 12 and flagged off a trolley loaded with saplings. While a group of students were given saplings to plant them in and around their residences, Khattar exhorted the students to guard the saplings till these grew as trees.

He also visited several people in Fatehabad district before reaching Sirsa later in the evening.
