CHANDIGARH : The Haryana BJP discussed its election strategy for the 2019 Lok Sabha and assembly elections at the party’s state executive committee meeting held at Rohtak on Friday.

In the meeting chaired by state BJP in-charge Dr Anil Jain, it was decided that a state-level rally will be held on October 26 when the Manohar Lal Khattarled first ever BJP government in Haryana will complete its four years.

Jain said the party appreciated the pro-people steps taken by the government while wiping out corruption, nepotism and ensuring equal development of every region of the state.

He said the state executive also applauded the “clean image” of chief minister Khattar and his endeavour to provide “clean administration” which would be the party’s poll planks in 2019 elections.

Jain said Khattar ensured ‘sabka saath, sabka vikas’ and his style of functioning showed a mirror to former chief ministers who resorted to the politics of regionalism.

Besides Jain and Khattar, national organisation general secretary Ram Lal, state BJP president Subhash Barala, cabinet ministers were among other prominent leaders present in this meeting.

The executive meeting discussed the steps taken by the government and the party to connect with the electorate. A detailed programme was also chalked out to launch the next phase of the mass contact programme.
