For a healthy, clean nation

-

‘Health for all’, is a well-known quote used worldwide during campaigning to create awareness regarding what to eat and what not to.

We are all being modernised. All of us are being influenced by the West. This is not just the case in the fields of festivals, communication or education but has also impacted our eating habits.

But how many of us are aware of its consequences, positive or negative? All of us, young or old, take to junk food after eating it for the first time. Such is the influence that we continue to have a a consistent craving for it. Burgers, pizza, french fries and what not! All of this has a huge impact on our body but we continue to neglect that just for the sake of our own convenience.

This also demonstrates how lazy we all have become. “From I am tired, I don’t want to make food, I am exhausted to let’s order something online, we are ready with excuses.

People in the stone age used to wander all day in search of food. They used to hunt just so that they could feed their families. Staying alive was their motive and our ancestors were the ones whose efforts resulted in developments we enjoy today. This was because they were active and healthy as they used to hunt for their own food. They didn’t think of ordering food as we do now. The present generation doesn’t care for a proper meal. They do not live to have food, but only to earn money. And this doesn’t make sense. We are all diverting from our main motive to survive and instead moving to becoming greedy.

All popular junk food companies sell old meat to earn huge profits and due to our selfish reasons, we buy such expensive food, without even giving it a thought.

The best way to prevent people from consuming junk is to put up a prohibitive tax on junk food.

On the other hand, the plastic packaging or cases in which such food is sold is non-biodegradable, which takes over thousands of years to get mixed in the soil. Many a times, animals eat food from dumps and consume the plastic along with it. Many a times, they are choked which leads to your death.

It also alters the chemical composition of soil. But vegetables, on the other hand, can decompose easily, even their leftovers can be used as manure. Remember junk food can satisfy you for a minute, but being fit satisfies you for a lifetime.
