‘Opponents within INLD conspiring to oust Dushyant’
Dabwali MLA Naina Chautala on Thursday made a veiled attack on senior INLD leader Abhay Chautala, also her brother-in-law, by saying that opponents within the party were conspiring to oust her son Dushyant Chautala from the party.
“Our opponents within the party are conspiring against us because they are scared of the popularity of Dushyant and Digvijay,” Naina said as she took on party leaders for sending her sons Dushyant and Digvijay notices for indiscipline.
She made the remarks at a choupal organised in Badhra tehsil of Charkhi Dadri district.
“My sons always worked on strengthening the party and have emerged as leaders for the youth of Haryana. How can they be given these notices?” she asked.
The infighting within INLD started on October 7 during the party’s rally in Gohana when supporters of Dushyant and Digvijay started hooting during Abhay’s speech.
Calling it indiscipline, the party served notices to the two brothers. “How is it wrong for youths to raise slogans in favour of their leader?” she asked.
Naina, wife of veteran INLD leader Ajay Chautala, urged her followers to support her sons in large number. “When my husband and father-in-law were jailed on false charges, I did not feel as much pain as I am feeling now when my sons are being threatened to be ousted from their own party,” she said, and added, “They removed posters of my husband and sons, but don’t let them remove them from your hearts,” she said.
