Jai Ram flays Cong’s ‘chargesheet’ politics
THAKUR MOOTED TO END THE TRADITION OF FILING CHARGSHEETS AND URGED OPPOSITION TO SUPPORT THE GOVERNMENT
SHIMLA : Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur on Monday said the Congress was compelling the state government to open probe against them by ‘creating a buzz’ regarding the charge sheet it is filing against the present regime.
“Opposition should not forget that the government has a charge sheet related to the deeds of previous Congress government pending with it,” Thakur said while interacting with media here on Monday.
The CM said that unlike previous governments, BJP-led state government did not make any recommendation of vigilance probe into charge sheet that was submitted by them during the congress regime.
“BJP had submitted a charge sheet against the Congress government when it completed its four years in office,” he said, adding that his party did not order any formal inquiry into the same.
“We only recommended to withdraw the cases filed against BJP leaders on political bases,” he added. Thakur alleged that some big scams had occurred during the Congress regime.
Mooting to end the tradition of filing annual chargesheet against the government, Thakur said, “Congress should end this tradition and cooperate with the government in development. ”
