CHANDIGARH: Moments after his nephew and Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala announced a new political outfit, Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader Abhay Singh Chautala on Sunday dared him and sister-in-law Naina to resign as the party’s MP and MLA, respectively, to test their popularity

Speaking to the media, Abhay said, “If Dushyant has floated a new outfit, it means he has no moral right to represent the people of Haryana as an INLD representative.”

He added, “Dushyant and BJP MP Rajkumar Saini are alike. Saini has also floated a new party but not quit as a BJP MP. Neither has Dushyant. Both are fooling the people of the state,’’ said Chautala.

The leader of opposition in Haryana assembly also said that Dushyant’s mother and Dabwali MLA Naina Chautala and two other party MLAs, Rajdeep Phogat (Dadri) and Anoop Dhanak (Uklana) should also resign from the assembly. “If they attend the proceedings of the assembly, they will have to accept me as their leader. If they don’t, they will be disqualified from the membership of the assembly,’’ he said.

The INLD leader said that Dushyant Chautala and his mother know that their resignation will necessitate a by-election and they will stand to lose from this development.

“They have been asking everyone to resign. Why don’t they themselves resign,’’ said Chautala.

INLD COMMITS 50% QUOTA FOR STATE’S YOUTHS IN PVT SECTOR

The INLD on Sunday passed a resolution committing to provide 50% reservation for Haryana youths in the state’s private sector jobs, if the party comes to power in the state.

INLD leader Abhay Chautala said, “Youths will be given priority if our party forms the next government. We will also float a student’s wing soon.”

He said the private sector gives most of its well paid jobs to people from other states.
