: In yet another setback to Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), Narwana MLA Pirthi Singh joined Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala’s newly floated Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) here on Wednesday. He is the fourth MLA from the party to do so.

Earlier, Dushyant’s mother Naina Chautala, who is a sitting MLA from Dabwali constituency, and two other legislators Anup Dhanak and Rajdeep Phogat had also shifted to the JJP.

Talking to Hindustan Times after joining the party, Pirthi Singh said, “The mood of the people in my area is clearly with the JJP. People want a young leader who can bring development. And Dushyant Chautala is one such leader. So I decided to support him. My supporters will also be joining the JJP soon.”

Dushyant Chautala, meanwhile, was riding high on his brother Digvijay Chautala’s good show in the recently concluded Jind bypoll.

“My brother managed to garner so many votes in such a short time in Jind. It shows that the people are with the JJP,” said Dushyant.

He further said that he has directed his party workers to start preparing for the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections.

When asked about his party’s alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Dushyant Chautala said a decision in this regard will be taken after discussions with the JJP’s state national executive committee.

The mood of people in my area is clearly with the JJP. People want a young leader who can bring development. And Dushyant Chautala is one such leader. PIRTHI SINGH, Narwana MLA
