MUKTSAR POLICE DO A FAUX PAS

To err, they say, is human. But some errors can be really embarrassing. Punjab police has district-wise websites and updates them on regular basis. But the Muktsar police made a faux pas which became the talking point in official circles last week. The message of DGP displayed on its website talked about the efforts of Hoshiarpur police. The message was apparently copied from the website of Hoshiarpur police, but they forgot to change the name of district. Also, the Muktsar police’s website continues to show Suresh Arora as DGP even though 1987-batch IPS officer Dinkar Gupta took charge as the new police chief on Thursday. The websites of Mansa, Fazilka, Bathinda and Faridkot also did not reflect the change at the top till Sunday.
