The police have registered a case of murder against unknown persons.

In his complaint to the police, Vinod Kumar, the contractor of the building, said he had received a call from a labourer, Chanda, who told him that the five labourers working at the under-construction building, were murdered.

“She went to the site after Haka’s son Karan called her up from Madhya Pradesh and told her that the mobile phones of his family members were switched off. After reaching there, she found them dead,” Kumar said.

“These labourers were working with me for the past one month and I had given them Rs 40,000 on Monday. I had asked them to resume work on Wednesday morning,” he added.

As the workers had an off due to ‘Vishwakarma Day’, no one noticed their absence during the day.

Police said said the call details of the victims will also be scrutinised to gather any possible clue about the accused
