GURUGRAM: The Gururgam district administration has decided to issue five passes to every resident welfare association (RWA) across the city for people providing essential services from Thursday, officials said.
The passes will only be valid for people providing essential
services — plumbers, electrician, estate managers or anyone else required to bring in essential
stocks. The RWAs have been asked to email their list at rwa.covid@mcg.gov.in
Amit Khatri, deputy commissioner of Gurugram, said everyone needed to venture out to buy basic necessities. “The residents have been facing certain issues in the past two -three days. The RWAs can now apply for passes for availing all essential services,” he said.
Khatri also urged residents to stay at home as much as possible.
“After careful consideration of the requirement of RWAs for access passes to staff handling essential services in colonies, sectors and condominiums, we have decided that five passes will be issued as of now to each RWA,” said Khatri, adding that the RWAs need to provide name, address, vehicle registration number and mobile number of everyone availing a pass.
