Touchless entry at Amritsar airport

AMRITSAR: Prominent markings to ensure social distancing, touchless entry procedures and baggage sanitisation are among key preparations that the Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport has made, as flights resume on Monday after a nearly twomonth gap due to the lockdown in view of covid-19 pandemic.
“There will be six flights daily with one additional flight on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday,” said airport director, Manoj
Chansoria, adding, “All passengers will have to follow the health advisory and stat government directions.” The exact schedule could not be confirmed.
Issuing these instructions, Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday announced compulsory home quarantine for 14 days for all those coming to the state including via domestic flights, trains and buses.
“Screening of those entering the State would be done at all border entry points and railway stations and airports, and those found symptomatic would be sent into institutional quarantine, while the others would have to undergo mandatory two-week home quarantine,” he elaborated.
Chansoria added, “Departing passengers are required do a web check-in and download the Aarogya Setu App. Masks and thermal screening are mandatory and only those with normal temperature shall be allowed to enter inside.” Ajnala SDM Deepak Bhatia said they would hold a meeting on Monday.
