TRUMP VOWS TO VETO DEFENCE BILL OVER BASES
WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has threatened to veto the US defence budget legislation for 2021, now being considered by Congress, if it includes provisions renaming army bases and assets honouring confederate figures. Trump tweeted that he will veto it “if the Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas’ Warren Amendment, which will lead to the renaming of Fort Bragg, Fort Robert E. Lee, and many other Military Bases from which we won Two World Wars, is in the Bill!”
