HAVE ASSURED THE BOY’S FAMILY THAT HIS AUTOPSY WILL BE CONDUCTED BY A TEAM OF THE MEDICAL BOARD, SAYS HISAR SP

ROHTAK: The family members of a seven-year-old alleged that he had died at a private hospital in Hisar due to medical negligence.

Victim’s father Mohit Wadhwa said that his son Parth was taken to a private hospital for eye operation.

“The doctors gave him an overdose of anaesthesia during the procedure and he died. The doctors had refused to provide us slips pertaining to my son’s entry in the OPD. I was shocked when the doctors told us that Parth has died,” he added.

After receiving news of the boy’s death, residents of Hisar and relatives of the victim gathered near Camp Chowk for over five hours and blocked the road.

The hospital staff fled from institute after locals gathered there.

Hisar superintendent of police (SP) Balwan Rana and other officials reached the spot and tried to convince the victim’s family but they raised slogans against the hospital authorities and sat on dharna.

“We have assured the boy’s family that his postmortem will be conducted by a team of the medical board. We are in the process of registering an FIR against the doctor concerned,” he added.

Despite multiple attempts, the hospital authorities were unavailable for a comment in the matter.

Till the filing of this report, the victim’s family was protesting outside the hospital.
