I have been offered certain roles, but if I don’t believe in a role, I wouldn’t take it up, unless I believe in it

Kavita Kaushik, TV actor

Actor Kavita Kaushik (left), who is known for her role as Chandramukhi Chautala in an ongoing show, says that she will not take up a role that she does not believe in. “I want to entertain fans but I don’t want to take up just anything. I’ve been offered certain roles, but if I don’t believe in a role, I wouldn’t take it up. I have taken up roles where the protagonist is a big hero and I get to play the second woman. That was something that I did ages ago, I won’t do it now,” she says.

“Chandramukhi was a larger than life character. And no matter how many more shows I am a part of, people will never be able to forget her. I played her for nine years, and in that one character, I got so many other shades to experiment with. I know I can never get another role like that,” she adds.

The actor further says that she wants to provide wholesome entertainment through her shows. “I will come up with something soon, which will be a full entertainer. It’ll have a bit of dancing, singing as well as acting in it,” she says.

Meanwhile, the actor also says that she is fond of writing and wishes that she could devote some time to it too. “I’d love to take up writing. I’d love to take off on a nice holiday and just write. I know that I write well, but I just don’t have the time every day,” she says.
