(above) aka Sukh E, who came into the limelight thanks to his recently released single, Jaguar, believes that the song has changed his life. “Woh kehte hain na, ek gana aisa hota jo aapki life badal de — Jaguar ne mere zindagi badal di,” he says, admitting that he never anticipated that the song will become such a hit. “I knew it will be a good song and people will appreciate it. But I never thought that it will get such an excellent response,” he says.

Following the success, Sukh E, who is also planning to release the song’s sequel, called Jaguar 2, in August, tells us that the original number was never meant to be sung by him. “I have had this song with me for a few years now. I had produced this song and I wanted some other Punjabi singers to sing it. But then, everyone was like, ‘Yeh kya hai pahji, yeh kaisa gana hai — kudi Jaguar mang rahi hai’, and that’s how they ignored it. But then after my single Sniper (featuring rapper Raftaar) came out and got popular, I decided that I will sing this song myself,” he says.

Sukh E also reveals that he is also in talks with production companies from Bollywood, which have lined up to use the single in their movies. “We are currently talking to three to four companies that have expressed their interest to use this song in their film. Right now, we are just going over the details and then we’ll decide who to give the song to,” he says.
