‘karisma doesn’t want to do films now’

Says sister Kareena Kapoor Khan, stressing that her older sister is busy with other things

Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan (right) says her sister and actor Karisma Kapoor (left) is not going to make a comeback in Bollywood in the near future. “Right now she is very happy in her space. I doubt if she is ready for that (films). She is not thinking about it,” says Kareena.

Karisma, 41, a mother of two, apparently does not want to spend too much time shooting. “I don’t think she wants to do films again but she does lots of commercial­s for various brands as that doesn’t take much time. She is looking prettier after the kids, but I don’t think she can dedicate that much time,” says Kareena. A national awardwinni­ng actor Karisma married Delhi-based industrial­ist Sunjay Kapur in 2003 and have two children — Samaira and Kiaan Raj. The couple had a difficult marriage and have filed for a mutual divorce. Karisma, who took a sabbatical after marriage but made a comeback in 2012 with film Dangerous Ishq which bombed at the box office.

Talking about her elder sister, who she has always referred to as an inspiratio­n, Kareena says. “She always advises me and has been an inspiratio­n not for me but for other women as well. She is looking her best even after having two children. I will always aspire to be like her,” says the 34-year-old, who married actor Saif Ali Khan in 2012.

When asked on how she juggles between her profession­al and personal life, the Jab We Met actor says that for her family comes first before everything. “I have always been a responsibl­e daughter and sister. For me my family comes first before anything else in life. Work is not everything for me. I always try to take out time for my mother, sister, niece and nephew. It’s important to spend time with one’s loved ones,” she says.
