Roy would love a role in Aashiqui 3

For fans of the Aashiqui fran­chise, there are more rea­sons to celebrate. Film­maker

Roy (be­low), who was the lead in the orig­i­nal Aashiqui (1990), says he will be glad to be part of the up­com­ing film.

“It’s great news that they’re mak­ing a third film in the fran­chise. Although I haven’t been ap­proached for it, it’ll be great to be part of it,” says Rahul, who is hop­ing that his ca­reer gets a new lease of life.

The ac­tor adds that it is ac­tu­ally he who ap­proached Bhatt, who di­rected him in Aashiqui, that made him fa­mous overnight.

“In fact, I’ve ap­proached Bhatt sa­hab. Hope­fully, he will present me in a new way. I think only he can give me the right come­back,” says Rahul.
