While many from the film frat can’t get enough of social media, actor Konkona Sen

Sharma (right) says she’s got no time for it. With four film releases scheduled for this year, it’s her movie commitments and four-yearold son Haroon that keep the actor occupied.

“I’m very busy. I don’t know how people find the time to be active on Twitter and Facebook. I’d also love to chill for a while, but I’m a mother to a young child, and I have many movie releases. I also run a household and there’s also a film I want to direct. I have no time to be on social media platforms,” says the 35-year-old, who will soon be seen in a biopic on freedom fighter Gour Hari Das.

Konkona, who hails from a filmy family — her mother Aparna Sen is an acclaimed actor and film director, her father Mukul Sharma is a writer and her grandfather Chidananda Dasgupta is a film critic and writer — she tells us that she never wanted to become an actor.

“My parents have been a part of this world and I grew up here, but I wasn’t sure of what I wanted to do,” says Konkona. “When I was in college, I did my first film, but I still didn’t want to act. It was only after my film, Mr and Mrs Iyer (2002), which I did because my mother told me to, that I realised I’d pursue acting,” she adds.
