Sonakshi Sinha is set to turn producer, but she confesses that unlike acting, production isn’t easy. The 28-year-old actor gets chatty about her new role behind the camera, her journey so far, and more. We have been going through so many scripts, (but) it’s not easy being a producer. For our first venture, we want it to be just right and something all three of us, i.e., Luv, Kush and I, agree upon. All the directors that we want to work with right now are already committed, so the decision is pending on whether we should go with someone new or wait. Yes, I guess just as you would expect a lawyer’s child to be a great lawyer, or a doctor’s child to be a great doctor, people do expect more out of actors’ children too. It’s natural, I guess. But about the getting it easy part, yes, may be the initial meeting, or audition or even a film may happen because of connections. But after that it’s all on you. It has been a great learning experience. Because I love what I do, I’ve never really found it hard or considered it as work, so to say. This is my life. If an outsider sees a day in my life, the hard work, the commitment, the long hours, the travel and handling various situations patiently, they might think it’s hard and stressful. But to me, it’s what I live for! I actually share a lot with my fans. I’m so active on social media that they practically know-it-alls! There are certain things that don’t need to be shared with the world. My family and my friends are most important to me, and I am protective about them.
