PEOPLE AREN’T INTERESTED IN OUR LOVE LIFE: AASHKA

The TV actor says that her fans want to know about her work, and not details of her dates with beau Rohit Bakshi

While she has never tried to hide her relationship, television actor Aashka

Goradia (far right), who is dating actor Rohit Bakshi (inset), says that she never thought that people would be interested to know about her relationship.

The 29-year-old, who has featured in shows such as Kkusum, Laagi Tujhse Lagan and reality shows Bigg Boss, Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi Torchaar 4, says that she often puts up personal updates on Instagram, but wants to use the media to talk about her work. “We are professionals and our work is most important to us. We feel that people would be more interested in our work than our dates with each other, what we wear and where we go. It’s not like I am trying to hide anything, I put up stuff on Instagram, but I feel that it is our duty to let our fans know about our work too,” says the actor.

The actor further adds that she doesn’t feel that there is much to say where her love life is concerned. “The questions are always the same, when will you get married. Whenever I am asked, I say there is time for that. I say we want to concentrate on our work. It’s the same thing every time,” she says. While many actors get bothered by rumours about themselves, Aashka says that she has never taken these seriously. “I have never had any problems with rumours. I feel that the media has the right to write whatever they think is true. When the stories have been made up, I have just laughed them off. I have never got into a controversy,” she says.
