Jiah Khan’s (inset) death case, says he still misses her a lot and has no qualms if his name is associated with her. Sooraj was arrested on abetment charges and sent to jail.

“My name will always be associated with her and I have no guilt for that. I’m happy that something at least stays with me. I’m sad that she ended her life. But at least her name is with me and I have no problems with it,” he says.

Jiah, a British-American actor who had made a name for herself in Bollywood, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her Juhu (Mumbai) home in 2013. Sooraj had met Jiah through Facebook, and the two eventually fell in love.

“I miss her. I miss her everyday of my life. If I loved a person so much, I would miss her,” says Sooraj, adding: “She was five years elder to me. She was more mature than me. I was 21-year-old then and she was 26. She knew more about the industry than me.” The actor says he faced mental trauma when Jiah’s mother Rabia alleged that he was responsible for her daughter’s death.

“I don’t know if she is against me. If she feels there is some foul play in this case then she has all the right to verify,” says Sooraj, the son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab.

“But if she is doing it just to harass me then I would not want to say anything. Truth will definitely come out. If she is doing it for some specific purpose then God d is watching,” adds Sooraj, , who will soon be making his debut as an actor in a film that has been co-produced by Salman Khan. In the film, Sooraj co-stars with actor Suniel Shetty’s daughter, Athiya.
