‘MY PERSONAL LIFE IS NOT A SECRET’

Actor Asin (left), who will soon be tying the knot with business tycoon Rahul Sharma, says that while she has never been comfortable talking about her personal life, she has also never hidden it. The 29-year-old says that she has never felt the need to talk about her private affairs as she is here to work, and that is all that she should be commenting on.

“I feel that everything else is irrelevant. I don’t think people would be interested in knowing anything else about me other than my work. This is what I am here for. Which is also the reason why I don’t feel the need to talk about anything else,” says the 29-year-old, adding, “Also, there are some things that you want to keep to yourself. Your life is in the limelight, but there are things that are personal. It’s not a secret. It’s not like you are hiding something about it. It’s just that it is your personal space.” While the actor accepts that being a public figure invites rumours and speculations, she has never let herself get bothered by these. “It’s best to ignore such things. If you know you are doing the right thing, and people close to you also know that, then that’s enough. For me, they are the only ones I need to answer, apart from my conscience. So when you know you’re on the right track, don’t bother about those who are misconstruing something,” she says.

Meanwhile, Asin has been receiving special gifts from her fiancé. He recently sent her multiple flower bouquets.
