Having a baby is on my mind: Gurmeet

Actor Gurmeet Choudhary (right), who has been married to actor Debina Bonnerjee for four years now, says that they have been thinking about having a baby, but are just waiting for the right time. “We are both shooting for our individual projects at the moment, but having a baby is on my mind. Whenever is the right time, we will give our fans the good news,” says the 31-year-old.

Gurmeet adds that he has never felt the need to hide anything from his fans. “When I was in a live-in relationship, I was very open about it and when I got married too, I told everyone. I never thought that this will reduce my stature as an actor in any way,” he says.

As both he and his wife have long working hours, managing a house can be tricky, but not for Gurmeet. “Both mine and Debina’s parents are very supportive. They are the ones who manage our house as we are busy most of the times. That has never been an issue. When we have a baby, they would love to take care of the baby too,” he says.

While many complain about the lack of privacy, Gurmeet says that this is a small price to pay in this profession. “People recognise you and there are times when you need your privacy, which is not possible. I can never say no to my fans. It’s their right to take a picture with me or want my autograph. At the end of the day, I am working for them,” he says.
