- YASHIKA MATHUR

Actor Salman Khan (left), who will be seen as a wrestler in one of his future projects, has reportedly grown so fond of the combat sport that he spent several hours learning it. “Salman has grown very fond of wrestling and has religiously devoted several hours to learning the art,” says the spokesperson of Salman’s upcoming film, a Sooraj Barjatiya directorial that has a wrestling sequence.

The actor first developed a liking for the sport while shooting for filmmaker Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), in which he had to perform some wrestling scenes.

“It was his scenes in Bajrangi Bhaijaan that got him interested in the sport. Later, he decided to learn wrestling because he has a similar sequence in the movie. Not only has this film helped him learn something new, he also enjoyed every bit of the shoot,” says a source.

“Salman is always keen on learning new things. When he saw how much fun wrestling can be, he decided to learn it, and was elated when he got to know that there is a scene in his next film that requires him to show his wrestling skills,” adds the source.
