‘Success means being ready to fail’
... and when you do, don’t be scared, get up again and work harder, says Anil Kapoor
Actor Anil Kapoor who has been a part of the film industry for more than three decades now, says the ability to bounce back after a disappointment is what shows one’s degree of being successful. “For me, success will always be being ready to fail. You should not get scared to fail. You need to get up again and work harder,” says Anil.
When the actor talks about success, he adds it needs to go much beyond one’s career. “I don’t look at success only profession- ally and financially. For me, it’s also health, family, country, my social commitments and my respectability. You need to have success in everything,” says Anil. “How fit have you kept yourself ? What’s the bank balance of your health besides your bank balance of money? All these things are important. It has to be overall. For me that is important. Being at the peak of your career and not being healthy is depressing,” adds the 58- year- old.
Meanwhile, Anil, who is working on the second edition of the desi version of American show, 24, says that the pressure is more this time. “We have to work even harder. The story and the screenplay need to be very strong. I am happy with what we have come up with. In fact, I think it is better this season,” he says.
