Actor Anil Kapoor has laughed off rumours which suggest that he is only producing and not acting in the second season of the Indian adaptation of the popular American series — 24. “Kisne likha hai yeh? Main pareshan ho gaya hun! I am acting in it and producing it,” he clarifies, adding, “How will the show be without Jai Singh Rathore? It’s a ridiculous rumour.”

The 58-year-old actor also says that they will soon start shooting for the second season. “I am happy to see the response, and a lot of youngsters have taken a very strong liking to it. That’s why we decided to go ahead with the second season and I am excited about it. We will start shooting from November 23,” he says.

Anil is also working on adapting American comedy show Modern Family. “24’s success made it possible for us to get Modern Family’s adaptation,” he says.

The Emmy Awardwinning comedy show deals with a few sensitive topics, including homosexuality. However, Anil is positive. “We underestimate the audiences here. I think they will welcome it with open arms. We will Indianise a few concepts, but there will be a homosexual couple, for sure. The positive response will outshine the negativity,” he signs off.
