Dippy and PC’s face-off
Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali managed a casting coup of sorts when he got Priyanka Chopra and
Deepika Padukone to star together in his next film Bajirao Mastani.
Pinga, the latest track to release, sees the two actors share the stage, dressed in an identical manner.
Choreographed by Remo D’Souza and shot in the signature SLB style, the folk song is being compared to Dola Re — the song from Devdas that had Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit match steps with each other.
Apart from rehearsing together for weeks, both Deepika and Priyanka’s chemistry is clearly visible in the song.
While the industry is raving about it, Bajirao aka Ranveer Singh is mesmerised by the song and the way the two have synchronized their moves perfectly.
Ranveer says, “When Mr Bhansali first mentioned the concept of shooting a combined dance number with Priyanka and Deepika, I was most excited because they are two of the most accomplished dancers that we have in contemporary times. When I saw the song, my jaw dropped to the floor. Such perfection in synchronized dance is unprecedented. The credit goes especially to the two ladies who put in their best efforts into making the song visually and emotionally brilliant.”
Eros International and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani will be releasing on December 18, 2015.
