She has already shared screen space with actor Akshay Kumar in Baby (2015) and will soon be on screen with actor Amitabh Bachchan. Actor Taapsee Pannu (right) says she knows the importance of working with established stars. “When you will be seen with big guys, your work will also be seen. This makes people want to see more of your work, even when you are not working with big names,” says Taapsee.

The actor who has done a lot of projects in the southern film industry made her Bollywood debut alongside Ali Zafar in Chashme Baddoor. And now she wants to make an impact on mind of her audience. “An important reason behind working with big names is that people get to see you and you get to make an impact. Later you can do things which you want to and you can still get an audience without much support from the big stars,” she says.

Asked if she looks at the star cast of a film even before she reads the film, the actor says, “I am quite new right now. I cannot think of working with rank newcomers. I really need help of people who have a bigger market value so I would like to work with people who have more experience. So I can take their help in learning and having more audience for my work. The story is important and so is the star cast.”

However, the 28-year-old says that celebrityhood hasn’t changed her life. “I have always been very practical. I have my head on my shoulder and feet firmly on the ground,” she says.
