Pakistani actor Mawra Hocane (above) has recently been in news for her rumoured closeness to actor Ranbir Kapoor (inset). It is well known that the former is a huge fan of Ranbir and the buzz suggests that the two spent time together in Berlin earlier this month. Mawra was there for her sister’s birthday, while Ranbir went to discuss about a film with director Ayan Mukerji.

However, the actor denies these rumours, saying, “There is nothing for me to say about this as nothing I say will be enough to put these rumours to rest. People who are close to me know the truth so I don’t need to clear the air.”

Meanwhile, the actor who made her Bollywood debut this year, says, “I feel that dramas dominate in Pakistan and films dominate in India. It’s not like I don’t find Indian TV shows interesting, I have grown up watching some of them. But I'm not open to working in them as of now.”

However, the actor insists that there is nothing wrong in Indian TV shows. She says, “The shows are very different from dramas in Pakistan and there is nothing wrong in that. I don’t think we need to change them. If we try to fix the number of episodes in Indian TV shows, like we have in Pakistani dramas, they might lose their charm.”

Mawra, who is new in Mumbai, was on the lookout for a place to stay and says that she has been lucky to find a great place. “I'm so fortunate to be able to find a nice place. I am in Berlin at the moment, but once I am back, I will be doing up the house,” she says.
