Madaari is the re­sult of women power

Ac­tor Ir­rfan Khan is back to the sil­ver screen to de­liver yet an­other film with a hard hit­ting sub­ject with Madaari. How­ever, what is un­known is that Madaari is the out­come of women power. The movie talks about tak­ing a stand and claim­ing re­spon­si­bil­ity of a sit­u­a­tion. These women have unit­edly por­trayed a sub­ject that needs to reach the au­di­ences.

Ir­rfan Khan’s wife Su­tapa Sik­dar turns pro­ducer with this film. Deepshikha Desh­mukh from Pooja Films, Shailaja Ke­jri­wal (Story ideation) and head of Mi­raj En­ter­tain­ment Sonal Desh­pande have come to­gether as pro­duc­ers for the project. These women with their as­tute vi­sions have pre­sented an in­trigu­ing per­spec­tive through the film.

Su­tapa shares, “Pow­er­ful women in the wings took cru­cial de­ci­sions how would Madaari fight against the sys­tem on stage.” Shailaja says, “All the hero­ines of Madaari were be­hind the scenes.” “It was a col­lab­o­ra­tive ef­fort that en­sured we have the right sen­si­bil­i­ties and per­fect syn­ergy in our ap­proach and de­ci­sion mak­ing,” says Deepshika. To this, Sonal adds, “I feel proud to be as­so­ci­ated with such a high on con­tent film and es­pe­cially with Ir­rfan sir and Nishikant sir...ku­dos to woman power.” Madaari set to re­lease on 22nd July.
